Who can use this feature?

GovTEAMS PROTECTED Full Access Members can create communities.

Full Access Members

  1. Log in to your GovTEAMS PROTECTED Dashboard.
  2. Click Create Community.
  3. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions
  4. Add your Community Details.
  5. Select a Community Type:
    1. Private (recommended): easily discoverable, members must request or be invited to join.
    2. Hidden: Not discoverable by anyone, members must be invited to join.
    3. Open: Easily discoverable, content is public, and any member can join and view.
  6. Select Next. Your community will be created within a few minutes. You will be notified via email and a Microsoft Teams alert.

Who can create a community?

GovTEAMS Full Access Members can create communities.

Is there a limit to how many communities I can create?

No. You can create as many communities as needed.

How long does it take for the community to be created?

Your community will be created within a matter of minutes. Once created you will be notified via email and Microsoft Teams alert.

Is Microsoft Teams and SharePoint included in my community?

Community owners can set whether Microsoft Teams and/or SharePoint are available for their community.

How much storage space does each community have?

Each community can store up to 200GB.
